Overview

Termites reach roughly one in five Australian homes, and Brisbane's warm, humid climate suits them all year. The damage is structural and it usually starts out of sight, inside wall frames, subfloors, and door jambs, which is why so many homeowners only find out once the repair bill is large.

There are two jobs a termite specialist does, and they answer two different questions. An inspection answers "do I have termites, and is my home at risk", for owners who want peace of mind or who are buying. A treatment answers "how do I stop the termites I already have", for homes with active infestation. Sending the wrong one wastes time, so we help you start in the right place.

Every termite job is carried out by a licensed technician, inspected to AS 3660, and written up in a report you keep. We recommend an accredited system based on what we actually find, not a fixed package sold before we have seen the property.

01

Termite inspection: for peace of mind and pre-purchase

An inspection is the right start when you have not seen termites. A technician checks the interior, subfloor, and the perimeter, using moisture and movement readings where timber is at risk, then gives you a written report to AS 3660 with clear options.

Book an inspection for an annual check on your own home, before you buy a property, or when a neighbour has had termites. It is the cheapest way to catch activity while it is still small.

02

Termite treatment: for an active infestation

Treatment is the right service when termites are already in the home. We identify the species and the extent, then treat the colony rather than just the termites you can see, using accredited baiting or a Termidor treated zone.

If you have found mud tubes, hollow timber, or bubbling paint, do not disturb it. Book a treatment and leave the activity as it is so the technician can assess and treat it properly.

03

Termite management and prevention

The most effective long-term protection for many homes is a professionally installed chemical termite barrier. Applied around the building in accordance with Australian Standards, it creates a treated zone designed to help protect your home from concealed termite entry.

Where appropriate, termite baiting systems may also be recommended for ongoing monitoring or where a chemical barrier is not practical. Every property is different, so we assess the construction and surrounding environment before recommending the most suitable solution.

Regular termite inspections remain essential, as no termite management system can guarantee that termites will never attack a property.

04

Reporting you can actually use

Every inspection and treatment comes with a written report in plain language: what we found, where, the conducive conditions that raise your risk, and the recommended next step. Buyers, owners, and property managers all get the same clear record.

We would rather show you the evidence and let you decide than hand over a scare and a hard sell.

Andy completed a pest inspection at our property in Brisbane and his knowledge is second to none. He is very friendly and genuine and provided a great service. At the end of the pest inspection, he showed us through his findings and talked through different pest control methods and some things we could do to help lessen the chance of any termites finding the property attractive.

Common questions

Pest and termite questions, answered

Do I need a termite inspection or termite treatment?

If you have not seen signs of termites and simply want peace of mind, a routine termite inspection is the best place to start. Inspections are also strongly recommended before purchasing a property and should form part of every home's ongoing maintenance. If you have noticed signs of termite activity, such as mud tubes, hollow-sounding timber, damaged wood, or bubbling paint, a termite inspection should be carried out as soon as possible. The inspection identifies the extent of the activity and allows us to recommend the most appropriate treatment for your property. Did you know? Most professionally installed termite management systems, including chemical barriers and baiting systems, require a termite inspection at least every 12 months to help maintain the manufacturer's warranty. Missing these scheduled inspections may affect your warranty cover and allow termite activity to go undetected. If you are unsure whether you need an inspection or treatment, book the inspection first. It allows us to accurately assess your property and recommend the most effective solution based on the findings.

How often should a Brisbane home be inspected for termites?

At least once a year for most Brisbane homes, and more often for homes near bushland, on acreage, or with a history of activity. Brisbane's warm, humid climate suits subterranean termites, and damage usually starts out of sight. An annual inspection to AS 3660 is the cheapest way to catch a problem while it is still small.

What termite treatment systems do you use?

We can inspect, service, and maintain virtually all major termite management systems, regardless of who originally installed them. Whether your property has a baiting system or a chemical barrier, our licensed technicians can provide the ongoing inspections and maintenance required to keep it performing as intended. For new installations, our preferred termite management solutions are Trelona ATBS Advance Termite Baiting Systems and Termidor chemical barriers. These industry-leading products have a proven track record and allow us to tailor the most effective long-term protection for your property. Every recommendation is based on your home's construction, the inspection findings, and your property's individual termite risk. We will explain the available options in plain English so you can make an informed decision before any work begins.

Are your termite treatments backed by a warranty?

Yes. Our termite management systems are backed by product and workmanship warranties where applicable, with the specific warranty depending on the system installed and the manufacturer's terms and conditions. Trelona ATBS Advance Termite Baiting Systems and Termidor chemical barriers may be eligible for manufacturer-backed warranty programs when installed and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements. Ongoing termite inspections and scheduled maintenance are essential to help keep these warranties valid. Before any work begins, we will explain the warranty that applies to your chosen system, including any inspection or maintenance requirements, so you know exactly what is covered.

Can I disturb termites while I wait for you?

No. Disturbing an active nest makes termites move, which spreads the problem and makes it harder to treat. Leave the mud tubes, timber, and any activity exactly as you found them, and avoid spraying supermarket products at the entry point. Book an inspection or treatment and let a licensed technician assess it first.
