What is included in a general pest treatment?+
A general treatment covers the inside of the home and the outside perimeter. The technician targets the crawling pests most Brisbane homes see, sets up a barrier around entry points, and treats the spots where pests shelter and travel. You get a clear summary of what was found and what was done, plus a free service period on our packages.
How much does a general pest treatment cost?+
A general pest treatment for a standard home starts from $180 and includes our free service period. Our minimum call-out is $150, which covers smaller jobs like setting rodent baits or a flea spray rather than a full general treatment. The exact price depends on the property size, the pests involved, and whether you want a one-off treatment or ongoing cover. Termite and German cockroach work is quoted separately.
How often should I book general pest control?+
Every 10 to 12 months. Kept to that cycle, you should never see a cockroach, because the pests never get a chance to breed and re-establish between visits. Australian regulations mean the products we use are designed to biodegrade, and they begin breaking down at around the 10 to 12 month mark. If you leave a gap in your coverage you have no protection during that gap, which is when an infestation restarts. We can set a reminder so a treatment is never left too long.
Do I need to prepare the house before treatment?+
A little preparation helps. Clear access to skirting, the kitchen, and the perimeter, put pet bowls and children's toys away, and cover fish tanks. We send simple preparation notes when you book and tell you anything specific to your job. The tidier the access, the more thoroughly the technician can treat the areas that matter.
Is a general pest treatment safe for children and pets?+
Yes. We use registered products applied by a licensed technician, placed where they work and kept away from where children and pets reach. We let you know which surfaces to keep clear and for how long, usually just until the treatment dries. If anyone in the home has allergies or specific sensitivities, tell us first and we adjust the plan.
What pests are not covered by a general treatment?+
Termites, rodents, fleas, birds, bed bugs, German cockroaches, and mites each need a different method, so they are handled as their own targeted services rather than folded into a general spray. German cockroaches in particular require a specialised treatment program and are quoted separately. If a general treatment is not the right fit for what you are seeing, the technician will tell you and point you to the service that is.
