A termite management system is protection you keep, not a job that ends when the technician drives off. Where a one-off treatment deals with the termites in front of it, a management system is built to guard the whole property over years, so the next colony to come looking is intercepted before it reaches the frame.
There are two ways to do it, and the right one depends on the home. An in-ground baiting system rings the property with stations that are monitored over time; when termites find a station, the bait travels back to the colony. A Termidor treated zone lays a chemical barrier in the soil that termites cannot cross without carrying it back to the nest. Construction type, landscaping, and where termites have been active decide which we recommend.

A Termidor treated zone is a chemical barrier applied to the soil around the home. Termites cannot detect it, so they move through it and carry the product back to the colony without changing their behaviour at the barrier.
A treated zone suits many standard slab and footing constructions and gives continuous protection once it is in. Like any system it needs periodic inspection to confirm it is still doing its job.

The protection is only as good as the monitoring behind it. A baiting system needs its stations checked and maintained, and a treated zone needs inspection to confirm it is intact, so we schedule those visits rather than leaving them to memory.
Trelona ATBS and Termidor systems may be eligible for manufacturer-backed warranty programs when they are installed and maintained to the manufacturer's requirements, which is exactly why the scheduled inspections matter. A single spot treatment clears the termites it can reach and nothing more. It does not watch the perimeter, and it does nothing to catch the next colony, so a home with ongoing risk can be attacked again within a season and no one knows until the damage shows.
