Beerwah sits among the Glass House Mountains, state forest and pine plantations, with a mix of town houses on smaller lots and rural residential blocks on the edges. Bush surrounds almost everything.
That bushland is home to spiders, rodents, snakes and termites, and the sandy soils common through the area suit subterranean termites and ant colonies particularly well. Homes on larger blocks with sheds, tanks and firewood face the widest range of problems.

Mud tubes on piers, fence posts or the slab edge always need investigating, as does any timber that sounds hollow when tapped.

We recommend a yearly timber pest inspection, and a full barrier or monitoring system for homes with no current protection.

Keep a metre of clear ground around the house, cut branches back from the roof, store firewood away from walls and check that the roof line has no open gaps.

Andy completed a pest inspection at our property in Brisbane and his knowledge is second to none. He is very friendly and genuine and provided a great service. At the end of the pest inspection, he showed us through his findings and talked through different pest control methods and some things we could do to help lessen the chance of any termites finding the property attractive.
